Donors

Because LifeLink Tissue Bank relies solely on the generosity of donors and their families, we honor their memory with the utmost dignity and respect. The gift of life is the most generous gift that one person can provide for another. Supporting donor families that make this gift possible is always our top priority.

Services offered to donor families include:

• Donor families are provided with information about the outcome of the organ and/or tissue donation/transplantation process.
• Each family is provided with a letter soon after the donation to tell them how their gift has touched the lives of others.
• Feedback from donor families is sought through surveys and communication with their coordinators.
• Each year we offer remembrance services in Florida, Georgia and Puerto Rico for donor families to join LifeLink in honoring their loved ones. We offer these services in multiple locations to ensure that they are accessible throughout our service areas.
• At least one donor family is sponsored to attend the National Donor Family Recognition Weekend each year.
• We distribute mementos such as donor medallions, lapel pins and special cards during memorable times.
• Remembrance quilts are created representing the individuals who have given the gift of life. LifeLink of Florida has completed their third and LifeLink of Georgia and Puerto Rico are working on their first.
